Privacy

How the Bradford Beer & Cider Festival website handles your information. The short version: no cookies, no tracking across other websites, and nothing that identifies you.

Who we are

This website is run by volunteers from the Bradford branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). If you have any questions about this page or your information, email us at [add contact email].

CAMRA's national privacy policy, which covers membership, is at camra.org.uk.

Cookies

This website doesn't use cookies, so you won't see a cookie banner.

  • My list on the drinks page: if you star drinks, your list is saved in your own browser so it's still there next time. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it by un-starring drinks or clearing your browser data.
  • The map: the Google map on Plan your visit only loads if you click to show it. Google may then set its own cookies – see Google's privacy policy.

Visitor statistics

We count visits so we can see what's useful and where people hear about the festival. We use our own simple statistics, not Google Analytics, and no information is shared with advertisers.

We record which pages are viewed, the website or link that brought you here, your type of device and browser, roughly which country and town you're in, and things like which drinks are searched for or starred. To tell visits apart we use an anonymous code that changes every day. Your IP address is never stored, and we can't identify you or follow you from one day to the next.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted on our own server in [add country] and delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks. Cloudflare processes your IP address briefly to do this – see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

If you contact us or volunteer

If you email us or fill in our volunteer form, we use your details only to reply and to organise the festival, and delete them when they're no longer needed. The volunteer form is run by Microsoft Forms.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to us. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
